September 2019

Mr. Teachworth has a one person exhibition, No Parts Two Small, at The Art of Custom Framing in Troy, MI.  Twenty five works on display, abstractions, representational watercolors, and sculpture.

November 2018

Mr. Teachworth had a one person exhibition, Sacred Art, at Marygrove Art Gallery.  Twenty 22 x 30” Watercolors make up the exhibition, The Events in The Life of Jesus Christ.

Mr. Teachworth’s work was juried into the Scarab Club Gold Medal Exhibition, Two Houses & a Tent, 50 x 70” Acrylic on Canvas

September 2018

Mr. Teachworth’s work was juried into the All Media Biennial Exhibition at the Detroit Artist Market, Isthmus, 32 x 42, Acrylic on Canvas.

November 2017

Mr. Teachworth’s work was juried into the Scarab Club Gold Medal Exhibition, Two Houses & a Tent, 50 x 70” Acrylic on Canvas.

September 2016

Mr. Teachworth was accepted into an exhibition Water, at the Jewish Center in Windsor, Ontario,2015 with his painting, Rowing for Shore. His assemblage work, Marilyn Z was accepted into the UofM Exhibition at Dearborn, 2015, and his watercolor Post Office was in the 2016 Michigan Watercolor Exhibition at the Ella Sharp Museum in Jackson, MI. He will have an abstract assemblage, Paint Stick Assemblage, in the invitational abstraction show at the Janice Charach Gallery in October 2016.

December 2015

Mr. Teachworth's work was selected to be part of an exhibition at the Jewish Community Center in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The work in the exhibition is Rowing For Shore, a 22 X 30 watercolor.  The relatively small exhibition was base on the theme, Water, and they produced a four color catalog.   In addition, Mr. Teachworth's mixed media piece, Kodachrome Z is part of the 2015  Actual Size Biennale Exhibition at Whitdel Arts in Detroit.

January 2015 - August 15

Mr. Teachworth had work on exhibit at the 14 East Gallery Cafe in Detroit and had work accepted into the Open Competition at the  University of Michigan Alfred Berkowitz Gallery.

April – October 2014

His two person exhibition at the Ellen Kayrod Gallery ran for two months in midtown Detroit and Mr. Teachworth completed the year-long exhibition of his work, Four Stations, at the Mercedes Benz World Headquarters with an opening at the end of the exhibition which included a four color catalog.  His watercolor, Four Chairs, was accepted into the Michigan Watercolor Society Exhibition, also part of their four color catalog, and had a large non-objective abstraction, Guardian, accepted into the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center Michigan Fine Arts Competion.  This fall he will have a large watercolor, The Annunciation, in a national juried exhibition at the Saint Vincent Gallery made up of Catholic Arts from across the United States.

December 2013 – March 2014

Mr. Teachworth successfully exhibited his work spanning forty years at the University of Michigan Duderstadt Gallery during the month of October 2013.  He will be exhibiting at the Kayrod Gallery in Detroit, Michigan in March 2014.  Mr. Teachworth has been formally accepted into the International Association of Art Critics and continues to write his art reviews on exhibitions in and around Detroit at the www.ArtHopper.org site.  A new project that will launch in 2014 will be his www.ronteachworthreligious.com site where he will display his Catholic Christian paintings in watercolor and share his plans for a new novel, The Annunciation.

April - Novmeber 2013

Mr. Teachworth exhibited three new watercolors in the Art for God's Sake show at St. Anastasia Roman Catholic Church May 3-5 2013. In July 2013, he exhibited a photograph, at the Detroit Center for Contemporary Photography, and will be in an Actual Size exhibit at the Whitdel Arts Gallery in southwest Detroit. Mr. Teachworth will be part of a large two person exhibit at the University of Michigan Art School in October 2013. In Addition, he will be in a two person exhibit at the Keyrod Gallery, Detroit, Michigan in the spring of 2014.

January   -  August 2012

Mr. Teachworth had work accepted into the Michigan Watercolor Exhibition that became part of the statewide traveling show, and had two pieces accepted into the Mixed Media Exhibition at the Scarab Club.  In addition, he had a photograph accepted into the nationally juried exhibition at the Detroit Center for Contemporary Photography.

Mr. Teachworth began writing art criticism for Art Hopper in January 2012 and has completed 12 reviews to date.  The writing is done under the pseudonym Ron Scott. http://arthopper.org

October 2011

Mr. Teachworth will have a two person exhibition at Saginaw Valley University Art Gallery. The exhibit, Resonating Patterns Through the Years, will survey non-objective abstract work beginning in 1974 – 2011. The exhibit will move to Central Michigan University and open there October 27, 2011.

Mr. Teachworth will be included in the Annual Scarab Club Photography Exhibit with a large abstract photo “Mystery”.

September 2011

The South End reporter, Jeff Pierce interviews Hamzah Ansari, a sophomore studying Biology.

“My favorite painting here is ‘Rescue’ by artist Ron Teachworth. The way he mixes white, blue and green paint catches the essence of the beach with a propeller plane landing in the surf,” Ansari said . “The contrast of colors grabs me, and my brain puts me in the painting.”

May 2011

Mr. Teachworth's watercolor, Lipstick, took a $300 cash award in the 2011 Michigan Watercolor Exhibit.  The show will travel through our the state beginning with the opening at the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center.

Mr. Teachworth has exhibited at St. Anastasia Roman Catholic Church, in a invitational, For God's Sake, and has two new watercolors accepted in the 2011 Michigan Watercolor Exhibit.

November 2010

Mr. Teachworth is now a Board Member at The College of Communication and Fine Arts, Central Michigan University

Mr. Teachworth's work has been included in a new book, International Contemporary Artists, Volume 1, published by ICA Publishing, NYC, NY

September 24, 2008

Mr. Teachworth’s works on paper are now being represented by the Lurie Gallery in Beverly Hills, CA. A new watercolor was just accepted in the Michigan Watercolor show 2008 and will travel to 7 venues.

Mr. Teachworth will be having a solo exhibition at the University of Michigan Hospital Main Gallery in May 2009.
